Anders Lee was chosen 152nd overall in the 2009 NHL draft picks by the New York Islanders.  During the upcoming season, he played for and was the leading scorer for the Green Bay Gamblers in the United States Hockey League. He was picked for the 2010 All-Star Game.  He became playoff MVP for the playoff contest as well as Rookie of the Year for the season.  The following season he played with Central Collegiate Hockey Association team, the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, where again he was a leading scorer.  It wasn’t until the 2012-2013 season that Lee got his first call up to the Islanders.  Lee scored his first NHL goal during the opening period of his first game on April 2, 2013.  He was then sent to the Bridgeport Sound Tigers (the AHL affiliate of the Islanders) but was called up again half way through the season.  In 2016-2017 Lee played a full season with the Islanders.
