Learn More About Zack Kassian: Zack Kassian is a professional Canadian ice hockey player.  He was drafted in 2011 by the Buffalo Sabres.  He played his first season with the Sabres AHL affiliate, the Portland Pirates and the Rochester Americans and did not start his professional career until the 2011-2012 season. Kassian played a single season with the Sabres, scoring his first NHL point with an assist and his first NHL goal the following game.  In February 2012, Kassian was traded to the Vancouver Canucks.  He made his debut with the Canucks the night after the trade and scored his first goal and assist with the team during his third game.  In July 2015, Kassian was traded yet again to the Montreal Canadiens.  He did not spend long on the team as he was traded to the Edmonton Oilers in December of 2015.  He still plays with the Oilers today. On an international level, Kassian competed for Team Ontario in the 2008 World U17 Hockey Challenge.  He also played in the 2011 World Junior Championships.
