The brother of Gordie Howe, Vic attained much of his successes in the minor leagues and in Europe. Howe played in the OHL through the late forties for the Windsor Spitfires and the IHL's Hettche club. He played a total of 33 games with the New York Rangers over the course of three seasons as well as stints in the EHL's New York Rovers, and the WHL's Saskatoon Quakers. He played in the British League for the Harringway Racers for the 1956-1957 season. After retirement, Howe became a constable for the Canadian National Railway, a career he held for three decades.
