Jarome Iginla is considered one of the NHL’s most prominent power forwards and consistent scorers in the league.  He spent most of his career playing for the Calgary Flames from 1996 to 2013. He was the leading goal scorer for the Flames in his first four out of five seasons.  Jerome Iginla was named captain in 2003, a position he held until his trade in 2013. Following his tenure with the Flames, he played one season with the Pittsburgh Penguins, one with the Bruins and he is currently a player and alternate captain of the Colorado Avalanche.

Jarome Iginla has earned numerous awards and trophies. In 2001-02, he earned the Art Ross Trophy for NHL’s leading point scorer and the Maurice Richard trophy for leading goal scorer. He scored his 1000th career point in 2011 and his 500th career goal in 2012.  He is the 7th player in league history to score 30 goals in 11 consecutive seasons.   He appeared in 6 All-Star Games.   On a personal level, Iginla is involved in many charities and has received the NHL Foundation Player Award and the King Clancy Memorial Trophy.

Internationally, Jerome Iginla represented Canada where he helped his team take Gold medals at the 2002 & 2010 Winter Olympics, the 2004 World Cup of Hockey, the 1997 World Championships and the 1996 World Junior Championship.
