Craig MacTavish was an NHL hockey center that played 17 seasons for the Boston Bruins, Edmonton Oilers, New York Rangers, Philadelphia Flyers and the St. Louis Blues.  He played for two seasons with the Bruins before being released from his contract to join the Edmonton Oilers for eight seasons.  MacTavish won three Stanley Cups championships with the Oilers and served as their captain for 4 seasons.  He was traded to the New York Rangers, joining his former teammates just in time to win the 1994 Stanley Cup.  Craig MacTavish was the last helmetless player left in the NHL when he retired following the 1996-1997 season.

After his retirement as a player, Craig MacTavish remained with the NHL as an assistant coach for the Rangers and later head coach for the Oilers. He also worked for TSN as a hockey commentator.  He is currently the Vice President of Hockey Operations for the Edmonton Oilers.
