Don Beaupre was an NHL goaltender that spent 17 seasons playing for the Minnesota North Stars, Washington Capitals, Ottawa Senators, Toronto Maple Leafs and their AHL affiliates from 1980-1997.

Beaupre was a strong netminder and rated a top goalie when he entered the NHL during the 1980 Entry Draft.  The following season he shared goaltending duties with veteran Gilles Meloche.  He appeared in 18 regular season games and 14 post season games including the Stanley Cup Finals.  Beaupre was traded to the Washington Capitals and in 1989-1990 he won 23 out of 48 appearances helping to lead the Capitals to the semi-finals for the first time in franchise history.  He won a career high 29 games the following season.  Beaupre played two seasons with the Ottawa Senators before joining the Toronto Maple Leafs.
