Duncan Keith was selected 54th overall by the Chicago Blackhawks in the 2002 Entry Draft.  In the 2005-2006 season Duncan Keith made his rookie season debut with the Chicago Blackhawks, scoring 9 goals and 25 points, while averaging 23 minutes of ice time per game in during that season. in the 2007-2008 season Keith finished with  32 points and was selected to his first All Star game.

For his efforts in previous seasons Duncan Keith was named the alternate captain along with Patrick Sharp to begin the 2008-2009 season.

In the 2009-2010 season Keith complied 69 points including 14 goals and was second in scoring for NHL defenseman. The Chicago Blackhawks won the Stanley Cup that year beating out the Philadelphia Flyers in six games.  Duncan Keith was awarded his first James Norris Trophy in that off season.  In 2013 the Chicago Blackhawks again won the Stanley Cup defeating the Boston Bruins in six games.  Duncan Keith was awarded his second Norris Trophy in 2014 as the NHL’s top defenseman.

Keith won his third Stanley Cup in 2015, in which the Chicago Blackhawks defeated the Tampa Bay Lightning in six games.  Duncan Keith was also the recipient of the Con Smythe Trophy as the most valuable player in the playoffs.

Duncan Keith is also a 2 time Olympic Champion winning Gold in the 2010 Winter Olympic Games in Vancouver and the 2014 Winter Olympic Games in Sochi, Russia
