Learn More about Joe Daley:

Joe Daley was a goaltender with the National Hockey League who played for the Detroit Red Wings, Pittsburgh Penguins, Winnipeg Jets, and the Buffalo Sabres. During the 1970 Intra-League draft, Daley was the first choice of the Sabres.  He was one of the last goalies to play without a mask, though he did wear one when he played with Winnipeg.  His longest stint with one team was from 1972-1979 with the Winnipeg Jets during which time he was part of three consecutive WHA championship teams from 1976-1979.  After retiring he coached a junior league team, the Penticton Knights, for the 1981-1982 season.  After that he went on to run a successful card store in Winnipeg called “Joe Daley’s Sport and Framing”.
