Learn More About Jonathon Drouin:

Jonathon Drouin is a young, Canadian ice hockey player, currently playing centre for the Montreal Canadiens.

Drouin began his hockey career by playing two seasons with the Lac St-Louis Lions. After that, he played with the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League’s Halifax Mooseheads.  With Halifax, Drouin’s managed to be the CHL player of the year and he helped the team win both the President’s Cup and the 2013 Memorial Cup.

Drouin was originally drafted by Tampa Bay Lightning in 2013 but he was cut from the roster and so he played for Halifax that season.  In 2014, Drouin suffered an injury which delayed him from playing the beginning season.  After he recovered, he played with Tampa’s AHL affiliate, the Syracuse Crunch.  Drouin made his official debut in 2014 against the Edmonton Oilers.  He scored his first NHL goal a few games later.

Drouin, due to injuries, returned to the Syracuse Crunch for the 2015-2016 season but returned the next season before being traded to the Montreal Canadiens.

On an international level, Drouin’s greatest accomplishment would be winning 1st place in the 2012 Ivan Hlinka Memorial Tournament.  He also represented Team Canada in 2013 and 2014.
