Kevin Lowe was a professional ice hockey player.  He was a defenseman that played for the Edmonton Oilers and the New York Rangers.

Kevin Lowe was originally drafted in 1979 by the Edmonton Oilers.  He played 13 full seasons with them.  Lowe helped the Oilers win 5 Stanley Cups and was the Team Captain in 1991-1992.  In December of 1992, Lowe was traded to the Rangers.  In 1994, Lowe and six other ex-Oilers helped the Rangers win a Stanley Cup.  In 1996 Lowe rejoined the Oilers.  Lowe started the 1997-1998 season with them but was forced to retire due to an inner ear infection that affected his balance.

Although he retired, Lowe quickly joined the Oilers staff.  Some of the highlights of his career would be that he was the manager for the 2004 World Cup of Hockey Team and he also managed Team Canada at the World Hockey Championships.

During his career, Kevin Lowe played 1,254 regular season games, scoring 84-347-431 with a total of 1,498 penalty minutes.  He also participated in 214 playoff games, scoring 10-48-58 and 192 penalty minutes.
