Tim Hunter was an NHL enforcer that was drafted by the Atlanta Flames in the 1979 Entry Draft.  He made it to the parent club when they moved the team to Calgary and became known as one of the fiercest players in the league in the 1980s and 1990s.  He was part of the Flames 1989 Stanley Cup Championship team and he was the NHL leader in penalty minutes for that season.  He played 11 seasons with the Flames and was their all-time leader in penalty minutes with 2,405.  Tim Hunter also played for the Quebec Nordiques, Vancouver Canucks and the San Jose Sharks.  He hung up his skates in 1997 and has been most recently an assistant coach for the Washington Capitals as well as an assistant coach for the Toronto Maple Leafs and the San Jose Sharks.   He is currently the head coach of the Moose Jaw Warriors of the WHL.
