Dave Taylor was drafted by the LA Kings in 1975 and he made his NHL debut in 1977.  Dave Taylor was a part of the Triple Crowne line alongside center Marcel Dionne and Charlie Simmer.  Taylor was captain of the LA Kings for 4 seasons and he made 5 All-Star Game appearances.  Dave Taylor holds the team record for games played in a Kings uniform with 1,111, earning 1,069 points along the way. Dave Taylor’s number was the third to be retired for the Kings after Rogie Vachon and Marcel Dionne.  He was inducted in to the Kings Hall of Fame in 1997 as one of the six original members. Learn More about Marcel Dionne: Marcel Dionne is an NHL Hall of Famer that retired in 1989 after playing 18 seasons for the Detroit Red Wings, LA Kings and New York Rangers.   He was drafted in 1971, second overall by the Detroit Red Wings where he played for 4 seasons. Marcel Dionne was traded to the Los Angeles Kings where he played on the Triple Crown Line with teammates Charlie Simmer and Dave Taylor.  Despite his successful on ice performance during the regular season, Marcel Dionne and his team never made it past the second round in three playoff appearances. Marcel Dionne was traded to the New York Rangers where he was reunited with his minor league teammate Guy Lafleur.  Dionne played another two and a half seasons with the Rangers, before announcing his retirement in 1989. Despite not winning a Stanley Cup Championship, Marcel Dionne was a gifted hockey player with many notable achievements.  Dionne ranks third in the NHL for most 100+ points season with 8, behind Wayne Gretzky and Mario Lemieux.  He ranks 5th in all time goals scored with 731 and finished his career with 1771 points.
