Boston Bruins legend and Hockey Hall of Famer Bobby Orr played for 10 season with the Boston Bruins and two more seasons with the Chicago Blackhawks. Bobby Orr is considered one of the greatest hockey players of all time. Orr revolutionized the defenseman position with his speed, scoring and play making ability which has yet to be duplicated. Bobby Orr was awarded the Calder trophy in 1967 and was the youngest ever to win the award at that time. Bobby Orr remains the only defenseman to have won two Art Ross Trophies (1969-70 and 1974-75). Bobby Orr won eight consecutive Norris Trophies and the league’s top defenseman from 1968-1975 and three consecutive Hart Trophies from 1970-1972. Bobby Orr is a two-time Stanley Cup champion with the Boston Bruins in 1970 and 1972. On May 10th 1970 Bobby Orr scored “The Goal”. A Derek Sanderson pass lead to what is the most famous images of the 20th century against Glen Hall and the St. Louis Blues. Bobby Orr retired from professional Hockey in 1978 and at the age of 31 was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame. Bobby Orr NHL totals include 270 Goals, 645 Assists for a total of 915 points in 657 NHL regular season games played.
