Pavel Datsyuk is a Russian center that played for the Detroit Red Wings from 2001-2016.  The talented center had amazing puck handling skills and was played alongside veteran superstar Brett Hull who he had amazing on ice chemistry with.  He played a key role in the Red Wings 2002 Stanley Cup Championships and finished his rookie season with 11 goals and 24 assists.

Pavel Datsyuk continued to improve his offensive numbers year over year and was a key player in Detroit winning the Presidents’ Trophy in 4 out of 6 seasons.  He won four consecutive Lady Byng Memorial Trophies from 2006-2009 for his high level of play and sportsmanship.  He also won three consecutive Frank J. Selke Trophies from 2008-2010 for most defensive skills in the game.  Datsyuk was named to four NHL All-Star games and he won his second Stanley Cup Championship with Detroit in 2008.  He ended his 14 year career with the Detroit Red Wings in 2016 choosing to return to his native Russia to play hockey in the KHL.

Internationally, Pavel Datsyuk represents Team Russia where he has won gold, silver and bronze in the World Championships and a Bronze Medal at the 2002 Winter Olympics.   He was captain of Team Russia at the 2014 Olympic games.
