Ryan Getzlaf is the current captain and first line centre of the Anaheim Ducks.  He began his NHL career with the Ducks organization in 2003 as a first round draft pick, 19th overall.  He is one of the Ducks leading scorers and he’s led the Ducks in assists for seven seasons.  Getzlaf holds the franchise record with 66 assists in the 2008-09 season.

Ryan Getzlaf played a vital role in Anaheims first ever Stanley Cup Championship in 2007.  Ryan Getzlaf was part of Anaheim’s “kid line,” alongside Corey Perry and Dustin Penner which was the top scoring unit.

Ryan Getzlaf is a team leader both on and off the ice.  He was selected team captain at the age of 25.  He is a power forward and a skilled playmaker.

In the 2013-14 season, he finished second in the league in scoring behind Sydney Crosby.  Internationally, he was named to the 2010 Olympic Team Canada and was an integral part of their gold medal wins in both 2010 and 2014.
