He joined the Montreal Canadiens full-time in 1958 for the tail end of their five-cup dynasty winning two Stanley Cups in 1959 and 1960. He played in two All-Star Games before being traded to the New York Rangers in 1961. He was traded late in the 1963-1964 season where he helped the Detroit Red Wings reach the Stanley Cup Finals. In 1965-1966, he played one last season in the NHL with the Boston Bruins. His final season of professional hockey was spent with the WHL’s Los Angeles Blades.
