He played for the New York Rangers, Chicago Blackhawks, Boston Bruins, Philadelphia Flyers and the Toronto Maple Leafs. Allan Stanley played as a defenseman. Stanley began his NHL career with the New York Rangers in 1948-1949. He played with them for five years before spending time in the WHL. After that he was traded to the Chicago Blackhawks. After the Blackhawks, Stanley spent 1956-1958 with the Bruins before being traded to the Toronto Maple Leafs. Stanley stayed with them for 10 years. During his time with the Leafs, Stanley helped take home four Stanley Cups in 1962, 1963, 1964 and 1967. After his 1967 Stanley Cup win, Stanley played the last of his seasons with the Flyers and then retired after the 1969 season. During his entire NHL career, Allan Stanley was in 1,244 regular NHL games. He scored 100 goals, had 33 assists and scored 433 points. Allan Stanley was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1981 and was ranked 60 in a list of greatest Ranger players. Learn More about Brian Leetch: Brian Leetch played 18 NHL seasons in his career with the New York Rangers, Toronto Maple Leafs, and Boston Bruins. He is widely regarded as one of the top defensemen in NHL history. After only one year at Boston College, Leetch played in the 1988 Olympics for the US Olympic hockey team. Just days later he made his NHL debut with the New York Rangers in February of 1988. In his first full season, the following year he was awarded the Calder Trophy as well as being chosen for the NHL All-Star Rookie team. In 1992, Leetch became the only American defenseman, and fifth overall, to score 100 points in a season and was awarded the Norris Trophy. Two years later, in 1994, the Rangers won both the Presidents' Trophy as well as the Stanley Cup. Due to his performance in the playoffs, Leetch became the first non-Canadian to win the Conn Smythe Trophy. He served as captain for the American team in the 1996 World Cup of Hockey. Brian Leetch served as captain for the Rangers from 1997-2000. Leetch was traded to Toronto in 2004 but due to lockout the last year of his contract expired and he became a free agent. He signed on with Boston for 2005-2006 season and then retired. He was inducted into the US Ice Hockey Hall of Fame in 2008, in the same year the Rangers retired his number. Learn More About Milt Schmidt: Milt Schmidt was a great centre who played 16 years in the NHL, from 1936-1942 and 1945-1955. Schmidt played junior hockey with his two friends Woody Dumart and Bobby Bauer until their rights were acquired by the Boston Bruins. Although Schmidt's rights were acquired in 1935, he did not start to play with the Bruins until 1937. Even in the NHL, Schmidt, Dumart and Bauer still played with each other and they formed the mighty Kraut Line. The Kraut Line was key factor to the Bruins success, and they won a Stanley Cup in 1939. The next year was one of Schmidt’s greatest seasons as he came out leading the league in scoring, he guided the Bruins to another first place and the team finished with the third most goals in team history. Schmidt also won another Stanley Cup in 1941. Schmidt missed three seasons after this because he, Dumart and Bauer enlisted in the Canadian Military during World War II from 1942-1945. However, before going overseas Schmidt played with Ottawa on the RCAF team and won the Allan Cup. Schmidt came back to the NHL in 1946 and he proved he was still a skilled goal scorer, finishing fourth in the league in scoring in 1947. He won the Hart Trophy for league MVP and was named captain of the Bruins in 1951. He retired part way through the 1954-1955 season to become coach of the Boston Bruins. He coached the Bruins for 11 seasons before becoming the team's General Manager. He won the Stanley Cup in 1970 and 1972 as a Manager. He later became the general manager of Washington Capitals in 1974. Milt Schmidt was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1961. He passed away in January 2017 at the age of 98. He played for the New York Rangers, Chicago Blackhawks, Boston Bruins, Philadelphia Flyers and the Toronto Maple Leafs. Allan Stanley played as a defenseman. Stanley began his NHL career with the New York Rangers in 1948-1949. He played with them for five years before spending time in the WHL. After that he was traded to the Chicago Blackhawks. After the Blackhawks, Stanley spent 1956-1958 with the Bruins before being traded to the Toronto Maple Leafs. Stanley stayed with them for 10 years. During his time with the Leafs, Stanley helped take home four Stanley Cups in 1962, 1963, 1964 and 1967. After his 1967 Stanley Cup win, Stanley played the last of his seasons with the Flyers and then retired after the 1969 season. During his entire NHL career, Allan Stanley was in 1,244 regular NHL games. He scored 100 goals, had 33 assists and scored 433 points. Allan Stanley was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1981 and was ranked 60 in a list of greatest Ranger players.
