He played for the Boston Bruins, California Golden Seals, Philadelphia Flyers and the Detroit Red Wings. Leach was originally drafted by Boston in 1970. He played two seasons with them but was traded along with Rick Smith and Bob Stewart to California. After playing three seasons with California, Leach was traded to Philadelphia for Larry Wright, Al MacAdam and Ron Chipperfield in 1974. Leach won the Stanley Cup with Philadelphia in the 1974-75 season. After a few seasons with Philadelphia, Leach played his last season with the Red Wings then retired. Leach's best season was 1975-1976 with the Flyers. He set a career high with 61 goals 91 points and 11 game winning goals. His 61 goals won Leach what is now known as the Richard Trophy and he also won the Conn Smythe Trophy that season. During his career, Leach scored 381 goals 285, assists and 666 points in 934 career games. Leach was inducted into the Philadelphia Flyers Hall of Fame in 1992. Learn More about Mark Howe: Mark Howe was a professional hockey player that played in both the WHA and the NHL for 22 seasons. He is the son of the legendary Mr. Hockey, Gordie Howe and brother of Marty Howe. Mark played left wing for the Houston Aeros of the WHA as linemate to his brother Marty and father Gordie who came out of retirement to play alongside his two sons. The Howes led their team to the 1974 and 1975 Avco Cups—the WHA version of the Stanley Cup. Mark also won the Lou Kaplan Trophy as Rookie of the Year. The Howe family moved to the New England Whalers which became the Hartford Whalers when the WHA and NHL merged. The Howes played one more season together in the NHL. Mark Howe was traded to the Philadelphia Flyers in 1982 and by then he had become a full-time defenseman. The 1985-1986 season was a career season for Mark where he put up some of the best numbers ever by an NHL defenseman with 24 goals and 58 assists for 82 points. Despite Mark Howe’s contribution, the injury riddled Flyers were not playoff contenders. After the 1991-1992 season, Mark Howe signed with the Detroit Red Wings, his father’s former team in the hopes of winning a Stanley Cup. Unfortunately, the Red Wings were swept by the New Jersey Devils in the 1995 Stanley Cup Finals. Following his retirement as a player, Howe remained with the Detroit Red Wings as a video coach and pro scout, earning Stanley Cup rings in 1997, 1998, 2002 and 2008. Mark Howe was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2011 and is the second father-son duo in hockey history to receive the honor after Bobby and Brett Hull. Learn More about Chris Pronger: Chris Pronger was one of the most dominant and feared defensemen during his NHL career which began in 1993 when he was drafted second overall by the Hartford Whalers. He made the NHL that year and was nominated to the NHL All Rookie Team. He played 2 seasons with the Whalers before he was traded to the St. Louis Blues. Chris Pronger flourished with the Blues and by his third season was named team captain. 1999-2000 was a career season for Pronger where he accumulated 62 points and won the Norris Trophy for league’s top defenseman and the Hart Memorial Trophy for NHL MVP. After 9 seasons Chris Pronger was traded to the Edmonton Oilers where he would play for only one season, leading his team to the Stanley Cup Finals. The following season, Pronger was traded to the Anaheim Ducks where he was also named team captain, leading his team to the Stanley Cup Championship. In June 2009, Chris Pronger was again traded to the Philadelphia Flyers where they would reach the Stanley Cup Finals in 2010. Learn More about Bobby Clarke: Bobby Clarke began his NHL career as a Philadelphia Flyer, being chosen 17th overall in the 1969 Entry Draft. He played the entire 76-game schedule in his rookie season, earning 46 points and being named to the NHL All-Star Team. Clarke was named Rookie of the Year and finished 4th in voting for the Calder Memorial Trophy. Clarke quickly became an integral part of the Flyers team with his vision and playmaking skills, a strong work ethic and a thirst to win. He was named Captain of the Philadelphia Flyers at the age of 23, the youngest captain in NHL history at the time. The 1975-76 season was record breaking for Clarke. Playing on the LCB line with Reggie Leach and Bill Barber, the trio set a record for most goals by a line with 141. He also tied his previous season record with 89 assists and set a personal best and franchise record for most points in a single season with 119. Clarke spent his entire 15 years in the NHL as a Flyer and set many new records through the course of his career. He played an astonishing 1144 regular season game finished his career 4th all-time in assists and 11th all-time in points. He helped lead his team to two consecutive Stanley Cups in 1974 and 1975. Clarke made 8 All-Star Game appearances as well as playing in 3 Team Canada Series, in 1972, 1976, 1982.
