Learn More about Al MacInnis: Al MacInnis was a legendary defenseman that was best known for super hard slapshots. MacInnis was drafted in the first round, 15th overall by the Calgary Flames in 1981. He went on to play 23 seasons in the NHL, with the Calgary Flames and the St. Louis Blues. He was a 13 time All-Star and 7-time winner of the All-Star games’ Hardest Shot competition. MacInnis played an instrumental role in his teams’ 1989 Stanley Cup Championship and was the recipient of the Conn Smythe Trophy for playoff MVP. He left the Flames after 11 seasons and was the leader in scoring with 822 points, 603 assists and 803 games played. Al MacInnis was traded to the St. Louis Blues where he continued to excel as a high scoring defenseman. He was awarded the James Norris Memorial Trophy as the leagues’ best defenseman in 1999. Unfortunately, MacInnis’ career was cut short due to a series of eye injuries that led him to retire in 2005. Ending his career with 1,274 points, MacInnis ranked third all-time in goals, assists and points amongst defensemen. He was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2007 and his number was retired by the Blues and raised to the rafters by the Flames. Following his retirement as a player, Al MacInnis remained with the Blues organization and serviced as Vice-President of Hockey Operations. Learn More about Bobby Clarke: Bobby Clarke began his NHL career as a Philadelphia Flyer, being chosen 17th overall in the 1969 Entry Draft. He played the entire 76-game schedule in his rookie season, earning 46 points and being named to the NHL All-Star Team. Clarke was named Rookie of the Year and finished 4th in voting for the Calder Memorial Trophy. Clarke quickly became an integral part of the Flyers team with his vision and playmaking skills, a strong work ethic and a thirst to win. He was named Captain of the Philadelphia Flyers at the age of 23, the youngest captain in NHL history at the time. The 1975-76 season was record breaking for Clarke. Playing on the LCB line with Reggie Leach and Bill Barber, the trio set a record for most goals by a line with 141. He also tied his previous season record with 89 assists and set a personal best and franchise record for most points in a single season with 119. Clarke spent his entire 15 years in the NHL as a Flyer and set many new records through the course of his career. He played an astonishing 1144 regular season game finished his career 4th all-time in assists and 11th all-time in points. He helped lead his team to two consecutive Stanley Cups in 1974 and 1975. Clarke made 8 All-Star Game appearances as well as playing in 3 Team Canada Series, in 1972, 1976, 1982.

He won the expansion bid for Tampa Bay and founded the Lightning in 1992, serving as team president and GM until 1998. Esposito was elected to the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1984. Three years later his number #7 was retired by the Boston Bruins in an emotional ceremony where current #7 Ray Bourque pulled off his jersey and surrendered the number to Mr. Esposito.

Learn More about Mike Modano: Mike Modano was drafted 1st overall by the Minnesota North Stars in 1988 and joined the team for the 1989-90 season. Modano played 4 seasons with the Minnesota North Stars including the 1991 Stanley Cup Finals against the Pittsburgh Penguins. Modano was a finalist for the 1990 Calder Trophy but lost out to Sergei Makarov. Prior to the 1993-1994 NHL Season the North Stars relocated to Dallas becoming the now known Dallas Stars. Learn More about Mike Modano: Mike Modano was drafted 1st overall by the Minnesota North Stars in 1988 and joined the team for the 1989-90 season. Modano played 4 seasons with the Minnesota North Stars including the 1991 Stanley Cup Finals against the Pittsburgh Penguins. Modano was a finalist for the 1990 Calder Trophy but lost out to Sergei Makarov. Prior to the 1993-1994 NHL Season the North Stars relocated to Dallas becoming the now known Dallas Stars. Modano finished with 93 points (50 Goals and 43 Asssits) becoming a hockey idol selling the most jerseys and receiving the most fan letters during that season. In 1999 Modano won the Stanley Cup while with a broken wrist that he suffered in game 2 against the Buffalo Sabres. Modano assisted on the Stars' final five goals of the series, including both in Game 5 and Game 6, and led the Stars with 23 points in the playoffs, with all seven in the finals on assists. Modano scored his 500th career regular-season goal on March 13, 2007. He is only the 14th goal scorer to score 500 goals with a single team and the 39th player to reach 500 goals overall.
