He played for the New York Rangers, Chicago Blackhawks, Boston Bruins, Philadelphia Flyers and the Toronto Maple Leafs. Allan Stanley played as a defenseman. Stanley began his NHL career with the New York Rangers in 1948-1949. He played with them for five years before spending time in the WHL. After that he was traded to the Chicago Blackhawks. After the Blackhawks, Stanley spent 1956-1958 with the Bruins before being traded to the Toronto Maple Leafs. Stanley stayed with them for 10 years. During his time with the Leafs, Stanley helped take home four Stanley Cups in 1962, 1963, 1964 and 1967. After his 1967 Stanley Cup win, Stanley played the last of his seasons with the Flyers and then retired after the 1969 season. During his entire NHL career, Allan Stanley was in 1,244 regular NHL games. He scored 100 goals, had 33 assists and scored 433 points. Allan Stanley was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1981 and was ranked 60 in a list of greatest Ranger players. Learn More about Andy Bathgate: Andy Bathgate was an elite right winger and top NHL goal scorer that played predominantly for the New York Rangers as well as the Toronto Maple Leafs, Detroit Red Wings and the Pittsburgh Penguins. He entered the NHL in 1952 despite a horrific knee injury suffered in minor leagues and played all but 5 games in 11 seasons for the Rangers. He was an excellent skater, easily weaving his way through the opposing team and he had one of the hardest shots in the league. During a Rangers game vs. the Montreal Canadiens, Bathgate took a slapshot that hit goaltender Jacques Plante in the face which required stitches. When he returned to the game, Plante wore the first goalie mask in an NHL game. In the 1963-64 season, Andy Bathgate was traded to the Toronto Maple Leafs where he helped the Leafs win the Stanley Cup. The following year, he was traded to the Detroit Red Wings where he helped lead them to the Stanley Cup Finals. He also played one season with the Pittsburgh Penguins before joining the Vancouver Canucks of the WHL where they won two consecutive Lester Patrick Cups. In 1978, Andy Bathgate was elected into the Hockey Hall of Fame. On February 22, 2009, Andy Bathgate’s #9 was raised to the rafters by the New York Rangers. Barber along with his LCB linemates played a significant role in the Flyers successful Stanley Cup Championships of 1974 and 1975. Bill Barber’s most memorable career moments came from his time representing Team Canada on the International Ice Hockey stage. He scored the game tying goal in the 1976 Canada Cup vs. the Czechoslovakian team to force overtime and Team Canada’s victory. Although his career ended with only 420 goals and 883 points, Barber’s number 7 was retired by the Flyers in 1990 after he was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame. After his playing career, the coached the Hershey Bears and was the Flyers’ assistant coach from 1985-1988. Bill Barber’s most memorable career moments came from his time representing Team Canada on the International Ice Hockey stage. He scored the game tying goal in the 1976 Canada Cup vs. the Czechoslovakian team to force overtime and Team Canada’s victory. Unfortunately, Bill Barber suffered from a career ending knee injury that forced his retirement after the 1984-85 season. Although his career ended with only 420 goals and 883 points, Barber’s number 7 was retired by the Flyers in 1990 after he was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame. After his playing career, the coached the Hershey Bears and was the Flyers’ assistant coach from 1985-1988. He coached the Flyers farm team the Phantoms for 4 years where he won the team’s first Calder Cup in 1998. He won the Jack Adams Trophy in 2001 as the Flyers’ head coach. He was director of Player Personnel with the Tampa Bay Lightning from 2002-2008 where he won the Stanley Cup in 2004. He returned to the Flyers in 2008 as a scouting consultant. He was drafted 7th overall in the 1972 draft. He spent only 11 games with the AHL affiliate before being called up to the Flyers, scoring 30 goals and 34 assists in his rookie season making him a contender for the Calder Trophy. He was part of the power LCB line with Reggie Leach and Bobby Clarke. Barber was driven to become an all-around player for every type of situation. He was part of the Flyers’ “Broad Street Bullies” era but he was never a goon or partook in the violent aspect of the game. Barber along with his LCB linemates played a significant role in the Flyers successful Stanley Cup Championships of 1974 and 1975. Learn More about Bill Ranford: Bill Ranford was an NHL goaltender that began his career with the Boston Bruins as their second round draft pick. Despite some solid performances with the Bruins, Ranford didn’t get the chance to shine until he was traded to the Edmonton Oilers in late 1988. Bill Ranford backed up starting goaltender Grant Fuhr and helped lead the Oilers to the 1988 Stanley Cup Championship. The following season, Ranford was again backup for Fuhr but a serious injury left top spot open for Billy Ranford. Ranford proved himself to be a superstar for the Oilers, leading them to their second Stanley Cup Championship in 1990 against his old team, the Boston Bruins. Ranford was the unanimous choice for the Conn Smythe Trophy as playoff MVP. Bill Ranford joined Team Canada in 1991 as the starting goalie in the Canada Cup Series. They went undefeated and Ranford was picked as MVP. He was also chosen as the starting goalie in the 1993 and 1994 World Championship where they won gold the second year. Ranford was traded back to Boston and later played for the Washington Capitals, Detroit Red Wings and back to Edmonton where he ended his career. Bill Ranford is currently the goaltending coach for the LA Kings, a position he’s held since 2006. He had his name added to the Cup a third and fourth time as a coach in 2012 and 2014.
