Glen Hall Signed Picture Chicago Blackhawks Goalie Save 8X10 This hand-signed 8x10 photo has been personally autographed by Glen Hall. To protect your investment, a Certificate Of Authenticity and a tamper evident holofoil from Slap Shot Signatures is included. Learn More about Glen Hall: Glenn Hall is also renowned as the grandfather of the butterfly goalie. He was the first goalie to practice and perfect the now common butterfly stance, as he'd fall on knees, spread his legs to take away the bottom corners and five-hole and let his rapier-like arm reflexes take care of the top corners. Almost every goalie in hockey today relies on the strategies he perfected. During his 18-year NHL career, which began in 1952 and ended in 1971, Glenn posted a 407-327-163 record, 2.51 goals-against-average and recorded 84 shutouts. He was a First Team All-Star seven times, won three Vezina Trophies, was voted the league's top rookie in 1955-56 and was awarded the Conn Smythe trophy in a losing cause in 1968. Despite his lengthy career, Glenn won his only Stanley Cup with the Blackhawks in 1961. Hall played his rookie season and more with Detroit Red Wings, before a trade involving a Red Wings goalie. Glen Hall was packaged up in the infamous Ted Lindsay trade to the Chicago Blackhawks. At the age of 36, he was left unprotected in the 1967 Expansion Draft and was chosen by the St. Louis Blues. Due in large part to Hall's heroics, St. Louis went all the way to the Stanley Cup final in their first year in the NHL. Though they would eventually lose to the Montreal Canadiens in four games, Hall was awarded the Conn Smythe Trophy as the league's top playoff performer. In 1968-69, Jacques Plante joined the team and the two veterans shared the goaltending duties, and split the Vezina Trophy. Glen Hall Retied in 1971 and worked with St Louis and later the Calgary Flames as a goaltending coach and consultant. Hall was inducted in the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1975. Learn More about Igor Larionov: Igor Larionov is a Russian hockey center that played 29 years of professional hockey in both the Soviet League and the NHL. He was drafted into the NHL by the Vancouver Canucks in 1985 but he wasn’t allowed to join the Canucks until the 1989-1990 season when he was released by Sovietintersports who would draw a portion of Russian-NHL players’ salaries. Larionov played for 3 years in Vancouver and he steadily improved his North American game. By his third year, he was centering the Canucks top line with wingers Greg Adams and Pavel Bure. Larionov left North America to play in Switzerland for one year before returning to NHL to play for the San Jose Sharks where he served as alternate captain for the 1994-95 season. The following season, Igor Larionov was traded to the Detroit Red Wings where coach Scotty Bowman placed him on the highly effective “Russian Five” line. The Russian Five consisted of Viacheslav Fetisov, Sergei Fedorov, Vyacheslav Kozlov and Vladimir Konstantinov. They were an integral part of the Detroit’s back to back Stanley Cup Championships in 1997 and 1998. It was with Detroit that he won his third Stanley Cup after scoring the game-winning goal in triple overtime of game 3. He played his final NHL season with the New Jersey Devils. Igor Larionov represented Team Russia at several events. He is one of only four players in the world to have won gold at the Olympics, World Championships, Stanley Cup, Canada/World Cup and the World Junior Championships. To protect your investment, a Certificate Of Authenticity and a tamper evident holofoil from Slap Shot Signatures is included. Learn More about Jean Beliveau: Jean Beliveau was both a talented baseball and hockey player. He was offered a minor league pro contract at the age of 15 that was turned down by his family. He was also offered an NHL “C-form” contract by the general manager of the Montreal Canadiens-a standard contract that would have required Beliveau to join the Canadiens at a set date and salary. Again, his father refused to sign, instead signing a “B-form,” agreeing to play for Montreal if he decided to turn pro. Despite his success in the amateur Quebec Senior Hockey League (QSHL) and two brief appearances for the Canadiens in 1950 and the 1952-53, Beliveau was reluctant to play professionally. Habs GM desperately wanted Beliveau, a leading scorer in the amateur league, to play full-time for the Habs. The Canadiensowners, bought the QSHL and converted it from an amateur to minor pro league, forcing Beliveau to join the Canadiens for the 1953-54 season due to the previously signed “B-form.” Jean Beliveau spent the next 18 seasons with the Canadiens and was a crucial part of their success. Beliveau was a lightning fast skater, talented stickhandler and brilliant playmaker who could also score with his accurate and powerful shots on net. He became an instant fan favorite, all around team player and one of the greatest captains in league history. He played on 10 Stanley Cup winning teams, winning 5 consecutive Cups from 1956-1960. He was team captain for his last 10 seasons, the longest tenure of any captain in club history. Beliveauwas known as a gentleman both on and off the ice, leading by example, he was a mentor to new players and a valued confidant to veterans. Highly respected in the hockey world, Beliveau was the game’s greatest role model. After his retirement, he devoted his energy to helping those less fortunate through several charities. In 1971,Beliveau won his 10th Stanley Cup and his number 4 was retired on October 4, 1971. The Hockey Hall of Fame waived the three year waiting period and inducted Beliveau in 1972. Sadly, Mr. Jean Beliveau passed away on December 2, 2014 at the age of 83. Get your Jean Beliveau Signed Picture today! Free Shipping..Buy it Now!
