At the beginning of the 2022-2023 season the Edmonton Oilers decided to return back to their classic blue and orange uniforms that were worn during the Gretzky era of the team. There were five Stanley Cup titles won with these uniforms and surely the organization is hoping that as Connor McDavid enters his prime the team will have many more Stanley Cup raising moments with these uniforms. Already the 6-time all-star has had several memorable moments wearing the blue and orange including his 100th, 700th, and 800th career NHL points as well as his 300th career NHL goal.
