He was part of the power LCB line with Reggie Leach and Bobby Clarke. Barber was driven to become an all-around player for every type of situation. He was part of the Flyers’ “Broad Street Bullies” era but he was never a goon or partook in the violent aspect of the game. Barber along with his LCB linemates played a significant role in the Flyers successful Stanley Cup Championships of 1974 and 1975. He captained the Flyers in the 1981-82 season and part of the following season. Bill Barber’s most memorable career moments came from his time representing Team Canada on the International Ice Hockey stage. He scored the game tying goal in the 1976 Canada Cup vs. the Czechoslovakian team to force overtime and Team Canada’s victory. Unfortunately, Bill Barber suffered from a career ending knee injury that forced his retirement after the 1984-85 season. Hull became a leading goal scorer for the Blackhawks. He became the first player to score more than 50 goals in a season in 1966, ending the season with 54 goals, the highest season total of the Original Six era. Despite Hull being a superstar in the NHL, he felt he was not fairly compensated by the league. In 1972, he signed with rival World Hockey Association and the Winnipeg Jets for an unprecedented $1 million. Hull would go on to surpass his previous record for goals in a season, finishing with 77 in the 1974-75 season. After the merger of the Leagues, Hull played one more season with the NHL Jets before being traded to the Hartford Whalers. Hull ended his career with as impressive record of 1063 regular season games played in the NHL, with 610 goals, 560 assists and a total of 1170 points. Furthermore He played in 411 WHA regular season games, scoring 303 goals, 335 assists and 638 points as well as numerous trophies and award included the Order of Canada, and the Hockey Hall of Fame.

During the 1984-85 season, Lafleur was unhappy with the ice time he received and asked to be traded. GM Serge Savard refused his request and Lafleur decided to retire. Guy Lafleur briefly returned to the NHL after his induction to the Hall of Fame, one of only three players to do so—Gordie Howe before him and Mario Lemieux after. Dave Keon won four Stanley Cup Championships with the Leafs organization as well as playoff MVP in the 1967 Stanley Cup Final. Despite Dave Keon’s talent and success on the ice, bitter disputes with Toronto Maple Leafs ownership and management saw Keon move to the WHA in 1975. He played for the Minnesota Fighting Saints and Indianapolis Racers before returning to the NHL in 1977-1978 to play alongside Gordie Howe for the New England Whalers (renamed the Hartford Whalers in 1979). Dave Keon did eventually reconcile his relationship with the Toronto Maple Leafs, he was commemorated with a statue on Legends Row alongside other Leaf legends. Learn More about Gump Worsley: Lorne John Worsley, better known as Gump Worsley was a goaltender in the NHL who played 21 seasons. Worsley played in the minor leagues for 4 years and didn't enter the NHL until he was 24 years old. He won the Calder Memorial trophy and was the Rookie of the Year, in 1952, when he joined the NHL and played for the New York Rangers. In 1954 he was traded to the Vancouver Canucks of the WHL where he won Most Valuable Player. In 1954, he returned to the New York Rangers as a starting goaltender beating out future star Johnny Bower for the op spot. Gump Worsley spent nine seasons with the New York Rangers before being traded to the Montreal Canadiens in 1963. Gump Worsley's best years were spent with the Montreal Canadiens where he was a part of four Stanley Cup winning teams in 1965, 1966, 1968 and 1969. In 1968, Worsley went undefeated in the play-offs with 11 straight wins. Worsley retired in the middle of the 1969-1970 due to the team's travel schedule and his fear of flying. Worsley was coaxed out of retirement by the Minnesota North Stars due to their less demanding travel schedule and their sweetened deal of a $500 bonus per win, and $250 per tie and $100 per shut out. Worsley spent four more years in the NHL before retiring at age 44. He was one of the last players to adopt the hockey mask. Upon his retirement, Gump Worsley was third among all NHL goaltenders in games played. He retired with a record of 335 wins, 352 losses and 150 ties, with 43 shutouts, and a goals against average of 2.91. Gump Worsley was added to the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1980.
