Learn More About Jocelyn Guevremont: From 1967-1971 Jocelyn Guevremont played for the minor leagues in Montreal where he was a distinguished young defenseman, playing on both Second and First All-Star teams in consecutive years. In 1971 he won the Max Kaminsky Trophy for most outstanding defenseman in the OHL. Later that year he was chosen third overall by the Vancouver Canucks in the 1971 NHL Entry Draft. Over the course of nine seasons he played for the Canucks, the Buffalo Sabres and New York Rangers. In 1972 he played for Team Canada in the Summit Series and in 1974 he played in a NHL All-Star team. He retired in 1980 due to a chronic shoulder problem. Learn More about Pavel Bure: Pavel Bure is an NHL Hall of Famer that spent 12 seasons playing right wing for the Vancouver Canucks, Florida Panthers and the New York Rangers. Known for his outstanding speed he was nicknamed “The Russian Rocket.” He made his NHL debut in 1991 and won the Calder Memorial Trophy for rookie of the year, finishing the season with 34 goals and 60 points in 65 games. His rookie year was followed by two consecutive 60 point seasons. Pavel Bure was traded to the Florida in 1999 and in his first two full seasons with the franchise, Bure led the league in scoring, capturing two back to back Rocket Richard Trophies. Bure was traded to the New York Rangers on March 18, 2002. Unfortunately, a series of knee injuries left him unable to play and he announced his retirement in 2005. Bure was voted in on June 27, 2012, alongside Joe Sakic, Adam Oates and Mats Sundin. The Canucks retired Bure's #10 jersey on November 2, 2013. Since then he played centre and right wing for the New York Islanders, Montreal Canadiens, and the Washington Capitals. Linden spent the majority of his career with the Canucks, playing ten years with them at first from 1988-1998. With the Canucks and in his first season, Linden scored his first goal and hat trick. In 1997, he was awarded the King Clancy Memorial Trophy. The next three years of Linden's career were very jumpy. He was traded to the New York Islanders and played with them until May of 1999 when he was traded to Montreal. Linden spent about a half a year with Montreal before being traded again to Washington for the 2000-2001 season. Linden spent a season with Washington before returning to his roots when he was traded back to the Canucks for the 2001-2002 season. He spent the remainder of his career with the Canucks before retiring in 2008. When he retired, the Vancouver City Council named the day of his jersey retirement to be Trevor Linden Day in Vancouver.
