Learn More about Adam Graves:

Adam Graves was an NHL left winger that was drafted 22nd overall by the Detroit Red Wings in 1986.  He became a regular with the Red Wings in the 1988-1989 season, only scoring 7 goals in 56 games but also amassing 60 penalty minutes.  His tenure in Detroit was short lived as he was traded to the Edmonton Oilers in November 1989.  He was part of “the Kid line” alongside Martin Gelinas and Joe Murphy who helped the Oilers with their 5th Stanley Cup in 7 seasons.  Adam Graves was signed by the New York Rangers as a free agent for the 1991-1992 season.  He was asked to fulfill the role as a two-way forward as he had during his highly successful junior career.  Graves responded well to the challenge increasing his performance with 26 and 36 goals in his first two seasons with the Rangers, helping them achieve the Presidents Trophy the first year with a league high 105 points.  He won his second Stanley Cup with the Rangers in 1994.  Graves played for the Rangers until 2001 when he joined the San Jose Sharks.  He retired his skates in April 2004.
