Known for his hard hits, Baun played for the Leafs for 11 seasons winning the Stanley Cup in 1962, 1963, 1964 and 1967. Baun is best remembered for his performance in Game 6 of the Stanley Cup Finals in the 1963-64 season. Having broken his ankle earlier in the game, Baun returned in overtime and scored the game winning goal, forcing a game 7 which the Leafs won to clinch their third straight Stanley Cup Championship. During the 1967 Expansion Draft, Bobby Baun was selected by the Oakland Seals. Following a disasterous season with the dead last Seals, Baun requested a trade back to an Original Six team. Baun was later traded back to the Toronto Maple Leafs for the 1972-1973 season where he only played 5 games before a hit from Mickey Redmond resulted in a career ending neck injury. Learn More about Gump Worsley: Lorne John Worsley, better known as Gump Worsley was a goaltender in the NHL who played 21 seasons. Worsley played in the minor leagues for 4 years and didn't enter the NHL until he was 24 years old. He won the Calder Memorial trophy and was the Rookie of the Year, in 1952, when he joined the NHL and played for the New York Rangers. In 1954 he was traded to the Vancouver Canucks of the WHL where he won Most Valuable Player. In 1954, he returned to the New York Rangers as a starting goaltender beating out future star Johnny Bower for the top spot. Gump Worsley spent nine seasons with the New York Rangers before being traded to the Montreal Canadiens in 1963. Gump Worsley's best years were spent with the Montreal Canadiens where he was a part of four Stanley Cup winning teams in 1965, 1966, 1968 and 1969. In 1968, Worsley went undefeated in the playoffs with 11 straight wins. Worsley retired in the middle of 1969-1970 due to the team's travel schedule and his fear of flying. Worsley was coaxed out of retirement by the Minnesota North Stars due to their less demanding travel schedule and their sweetened deal of a $500 bonus per win, and $250 per tie and $100 per shutout. Worsley spent four more years in the NHL before retiring at age 44. He was one of the last players to adopt the hockey mask. Upon his retirement, Gump Worsley was third among all NHL goaltenders in games played. He retired with a record of 335 wins, 352 losses, and 150 ties, with 43 shutouts, and goals against average of 2.91. Gump Worsley was added to the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1980. Learn More About Harry Sinden: Harry Sinden has spent over 50 years as part of the Boston Bruins organization in varying roles starting from player, head coach to general manager, president and senior advisor to the club’s owner. Sinden was a great defenseman but he never played in the NHL. He played defence for the minor team, Toronto Marlboro Bantams and then in the Ontario Hockey League on the Oshawa Generals from 1949 to 1953. After playing with Oshawa, Sinden played six seasons with the Whitby Dunlops who he captained in 1957 when the Dunlops won the Allan Cup. Also he won a silver medal in the 1960 Olympics as part of the Canadian National Men's Hockey Team. Harry Sinden coached minor league hockey for six seasons starting in 1960 and became head coach of the Boston Bruins in 1966. Sinden was the youngest coach in the league at age 33 and the team finished with the worst record in the league his first season. Sinden got increasingly better and in the 1969-1970 season, Sinden coached the Bruins to the Stanley Cup Championship, their first in 29 years. Sinden retired from coaching just after the Bruins won the Cup due to his rocky relationship with Bruins management. He was named head coach and manager of Team Canada during the 1972 Summit Series despite spending two years away from hockey. After the successful Summit Series, he was offered the position of General Manager of the Bruins—a position he held for 28 years. Sinden remained with the Bruins as President. During his reign, the Boston Bruins had 30 consecutive playoff appearances. Harry Sinden was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1983 as a builder. Ciccarelli signed a contract with the Minnesota North Stars as a free agent in 1979. He was called up from the minors for the latter half of the 1980-1981 season where he played in 32 games scoring 18 goals and 30 points. In the playoffs, the North Stars went all the way to the finals with Ciccarelli contributing 14 goals and 21 points in 19 games. His solid performance earned him a spot on the North Stars and he built on his rookie success with a team high 55 goals and 106 points in his sophomore season. He left Minnesota in March of 1989 in a trade to the Washington Capitals. He had 651 points with the North Stars, 4th in club history. Dino Ciccarelli spent the rest of his career with shorter stints with the Washington Capitals, the Detroit Red Wings, the Tampa Bay Lightning and the Florida Panthers. Learn More about Anders Lee: Anders Lee was chosen 152nd overall in the 2009 NHL draft picks by the New York Islanders. During the upcoming season, he played for and was the leading scorer for the Green Bay Gamblers in the United States Hockey League. He was picked for the 2010 All-Star Game. He became playoff MVP for the playoff contest as well as Rookie of the Year for the season. The following season he played with Central Collegiate Hockey Association team, the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, where again he was a leading scorer. It wasn't until the 2012-2013 season that Lee got his first call up to the Islanders. Lee scored his first NHL goal during the opening period of his first game on April 2, 2013. He was then sent to the Bridgeport Sound Tigers (the AHL affiliate of the Islanders) but was called up again half way through the season. In 2016-2017 Lee played a full season with the Islanders. Learn more about Johnny Bower: Johnny Bower played a large part of his hockey career in the minor leagues with a brief stint in for the New York Rangers before becoming the Toronto Maple Leafs’ starting goaltender. He played for Toronto from 1958-59 season to 1969-70 and was nicknamed the China Wall for his solid goaltending at an older age. Johnny Bower played for Toronto for 11 seasons, bringing home 3 Consecutive Stanley Cup victories in 1962, 1963 and 1964. He would win one more Stanley Cup in 1967, with tandem goaltender Terry Sawchuk, with whom he shared the Vezina trophy for best goaltender. Johnny Bower would receive many awards and honors after his retirement from hockey in 1970. He was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame (1976), the AHL Hall of Fame (1998), the Ontario Sports Hall of Fame (1999) and in 2007, Johnny Bower received his star on Canada’s Walk of Fame. In 2014, Johnny Bower, alongside Ted Kennedy and Daryl Sittler, were inducted into Legends Row, a Statue outside of the Air Canada Centre depicting the 12 greatest Toronto Maple Leafs of all time. Learn More about Pavel Bure: Pavel Bure is an NHL Hall of Famer that spent 12 seasons playing right wing for the Vancouver Canucks, Florida Panthers and the New York Rangers. Known for his outstanding speed he was nicknamed “The Russian Rocket.” He made his NHL debut in 1991 and won the Calder Memorial Trophy for rookie of the year, finishing the season with 34 goals and 60 points in 65 games. His rookie year was followed by two consecutive 60 point seasons. Pavel Bure was traded to the Florida in 1999 and in his first two full seasons with the franchise, Bure led the league in scoring, capturing two back to back Rocket Richard Trophies. Bure was traded to the New York Rangers on March 18, 2002. Unfortunately, a series of knee injuries left him unable to play and he announced his retirement in 2005. Bure was voted in on June 27, 2012, alongside Joe Sakic, Adam Oates and Mats Sundin. The Canucks retired Bure's #10 jersey on November 2, 2013. He played for the New York Americans and the New York Rangers. Originally, Rayner played for the Kenora Thistles in the Manitoba Junior League. He showed his potential by backstopping the team into getting a Memorial Cup. The year after that he turned professional and played for the Americans however he spent most of his time on the affiliate team the Springfield Indians of the AHL. When Rayner was with the Indians he led the league in shutouts and goals against average. He was named to the Second All-Star Team. The next season, Rayner was the leading goalie for the Americans final season but then World War II started, and the Americans folded. Rayner spent the next three years in the Royal Canadian Navy. He played two seasons there with the teams based out of Victoria. After the war, Rayner signed as a free agent with the Rangers in 1945. Rayner was the starter goalie in six of the seven next seasons. Although Rayner hadn't set any goals he was still one of the best goalies of his era. 1948-51 were his best seasons as he won the Hart Memorial Trophy as the NHL's MVP in 1950 after leading the Rangers to overtime in the seventh game in the Stanley Cup Finals.
