Learn More about Adam Foote: Adam Foote was a former defenseman drafted twenty second overall in the 1989 NHL draft. He signed with the Quebec Nordiques where he played until 1995 when the franchise relocated to Colorado to become the Avalanche. In Colorado, he won two Stanley Cups, one in 1996 and the second in 2001. In the 2005-2006 season, Foote signed on with the Columbus Blue Jackets after thirteen seasons with Colorado, here he was automatically assigned alternate captain until defenseman Luke Richardson stepped down from his captaincy in December 2005. Three seasons later, Foote was traded back to Colorado for two conditional draft picks. On June 28th, 2008, Foote signed again with Colorado for a two-year contract. The first full season of this contract was cut short for Foote due to an injury resulting in him only playing 42 games. Further injuries in the lineup resulted in Colorado finishing last in the Western Conference that year. In the off-season captain Joe Sakic announced his retirement and Foote was chosen as his replacement in 2009. In April 2011, Foote played his last game with Colorado before his retirement. He began his career coaching at the varsity and junior levels in 1977. He led the Oshawa Legionaries to back to back championships in 1979 and 1980. Mike Keenan moved on to coaching the Rochester Americans to the AHL championship in 1983. The following year, Keenan got his first high profile coaching job, coaching the Philadelphia Flyers in 1984. He was with the Flyers for 4 years before becoming head coach of the Chicago Blackhawks in 1988 and head coach of the New York Rangers in 1993. In 1994, he led the Rangers to their first Stanley Cup Championship since 1940. Learn More about Vic Hadfield: Vic Hadfield made it to the NHL as a rugged enforcer for the New York Rangers in 1959. He posted triple digit penalty numbers and led the league in 1963-1964 with 151 penalty minutes. As Hadfield’s career progressed with the Rangers, he was put on the same line with Jean Ratelle and Rod Gilbert. This line would become known as the Goal a Game line and Hadfield’s focuses shifted scoring. Vic Hadfield was an example of one player doing it all as his points totals came closer to matching his penalty minutes. Learn More About Harry Sinden: Harry Sinden has spent over 50 years as part of the Boston Bruins organization in varying roles starting from player, head coach to general manager, president and senior advisor to the club’s owner. Sinden was a great defenseman but he never played in the NHL. He played defence for the minor team, Toronto Marlboro Bantams and then in the Ontario Hockey League on the Oshawa Generals from 1949 to 1953. After playing with Oshawa, Sinden played six seasons with the Whitby Dunlops who he captained in 1957 when the Dunlops won the Allan Cup. Also he won a silver medal in the 1960 Olympics as part of the Canadian National Men's Hockey Team. Harry Sinden coached minor league hockey for six seasons starting in 1960 and became head coach of the Boston Bruins in 1966. Sinden was the youngest coach in the league at age 33 and the team finished with the worst record in the league his first season. Sinden got increasingly better and in the 1969-1970 season, Sinden coached the Bruins to the Stanley Cup Championship, their first in 29 years. Sinden retired from coaching just after the Bruins won the Cup due to his rocky relationship with Bruins management. He was named head coach and manager of Team Canada during the 1972 Summit Series despite spending two years away from hockey. After the successful Summit Series, he was offered the position of General Manager of the Bruins—a position he held for 28 years. Sinden remained with the Bruins as President. During his reign, the Boston Bruins had 30 consecutive playoff appearances. Harry Sinden was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1983 as a builder.
