  • Bernie Parent Rookie Goalie Signed Photo-Boston Bruins 8x10 This Bernie Parent Rookie Goalie Signed Photo-Boston Bruins 8x10 has been personally autographed by Mr. Parent.  Included with your purchase is a Certificate of Authenticity from Slapshot Signatures. Learn More about Bernie Parent: Bernie Parent was an NHL goaltender that played 13 seasons from 1965-1979 for the Boston Bruins, Toronto Maple Leafs and the Philadelphia Flyers.  Parent played just 39 games with the Bruins before he was dealt to the Philadelphia Flyers where he would emerge as top goaltender. Although Parent was a top netminder, the Flyers seeking more offense, traded Parent to the Toronto Maple Leafs.  The trade proved beneficial to Parent as he got to share goaltender duties with his childhood hero Jacques Plante.  Under Plante’s guidance, Parent became a better and more proficient goalie as he perfected the “stand-up style” he modeled after Plante. Bernie Parent left the Leafs to join the WHA and returned to the Philadelphia Flyers after just one season.  His next two years in Philly proved to be the best of his career.  He won back to back Stanley Cups in 1974 and 1975 along with the Vezina Trophy for best goaltender and the Conn Smythe Trophy as playoff MVP in both seasons.  Sadly, Bernie Parent’s career was cut short in 1979 when he took a stick to his right eye causing temporary blindness.  Although his vision returned, there was permanent damage to his eye forcing his retirement.  Parent remained with the Flyers for a number of years as goaltending coach. • Brad Park Boston Bruins Signed Photo Game Action 8x10 This Brad Park Boston Bruins Signed Photo Game Action 8x10 has been personally autographed by Mr. Park.  Included with your purchase is a Certificate of Authenticity from Slapshot Signatures. Learn More About Brad Park: Brad Park is a retired defenseman who played in the NHL for the Boston Bruins, Detroit Red Wings and New York Rangers. The greatest years of his career were over-shadowed by Bobby Orr but people thought him to be one of the best defensemen of the generation.  In 2017 Park was part of the second group to be named 100 Greatest NHL players in History. Park was first drafted by the New York Rangers in 1966.  He quickly became the Ranger's best defenseman and many compared him to Bobby Orr as both were called offensive defensemen.  Park's offensive skill and stickhandling made him a quick hit with the fans.  People often talked about a rivalry between Orr and Park. Park was second, however he was content being rated second to such a great player.  Park was made the alternate captain in 1972 for the Rangers and he also went to the Summit Series for Team Canada.  Orr was unable to play due to a broken ankle so Park was a key contributor to the team's success.  After the 1975-1976 season, the Rangers began unloading some of its better players and Park was traded to the Boston Bruins. Despite Orr and Esposito leaving the team, the Bruins did well when they got other players. Park worked well under his new coach Don Cherry.  Park earned two first All-Star Team selections and came in second for the Norris Trophy race. Park was also a key factor to the Bruins back-to-back appearances at the Stanley Cup Finals.  After his time with the Bruins he played with the Detroit Red Wings where he won the Bill Masterson Trophy for perseverance, setting a record for assists by a Wings defenseman.  He retired in 1985.  He was elected to the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1988 in his first year of eligibility.
