Dave Taylor was drafted by the LA Kings in 1975 and he made his NHL debut in 1977. Dave Taylor was a part of the Triple Crowne line alongside center Marcel Dionne and Charlie Simmer. Taylor was captain of the LA Kings for 4 seasons and he made 5 All-Star Game appearances. Dave Taylor holds the team record for games played in a Kings uniform with 1,111, earning 1,069 points along the way. Dave Taylor’s number was the third to be retired for the Kings after Rogie Vachon and Marcel Dionne. He was inducted in to the Kings Hall of Fame in 1997 as one of the six original members. Learn More about Bernie Nicholls: Bernie Nicholls was an NHL hockey center from 1981-1999 playing for several teams including the LA Kings, NY Rangers, Edmonton Oilers, NJ Devils, Chicago Blackhawks and the San Jose Sharks. Bernie Nicholls best years were spent with the Los Angeles Kings organization where he was a star forward setting numerous offensive records. His best year was in 1988-89 where he scored 70 goals and 80 assists for a record 150 points. He had an 8 point game, one of only 13 players in the NHL to ever do so. Nicholls was traded in 1989 to the NY Rangers, he left the Kings as the franchise's fifth all-time leading scorer. Bernie Nicholls was selected to three All-Star Games, in 1984, 1989, and 1990. He also won a Silver Medal in the 1985 World Ice Hockey Championships with Team Canada. Learn More About Pete Stemkowski: Pete Stemkowski is a professional ice hockey player that played for fifteen seasons in the NHL. Stemkowski played for the Toronto Maple Leafs, Detroit Red Wings, New York Rangers and Los Angeles Kings. One of the milestones in his career was winning the Stanley Cup with the Leafs in 1967. Stemkowski played for the Leafs at the beginning of his career but was traded late during the 1967-1968 season. He played with Detroit, he even achieved a 20-goal season. Stemkowski was traded to the Rangers before the 1970-1971 season. He played seven seasons. Stemkowski had a fine first season which set the tone for his seven seasons of success with the Rangers. This also included three straight 20 goal seasons. After his seven seasons Stemkowski was traded to Los Angeles. With them Stemkowski finished his NHL career, playing only a season with the Kings. Some highlights of Stemkowski’s career would be the winning of the Stanley Cup in 1967, the Memorial Cup in 1964 and Stemkowski also played with the All Star Team in 1968. Pete Stemkowski is also an honoured member of the Manitoba Hockey Hall of Fame.
