Kirk McLean was originally drafted by the New Jersey Devils in 1984.  He debuted with the Devils in 1985-1986 before being called to Oshawa.  McLean had to compete with many for ice time so he was sent to their AHL affiliate, the Maine Mariners.  He was called up from Maine in 1986 and allowed only one goal of 24 shots into the net, letting the Devils win the game.  He played a few more games with them before being traded to the Vancouver Canucks in 1987. Learn More about Mike Keenan: Mike Keenan is a long time professional hockey coach that has served several leagues and teams in the NHL.  He began his career coaching at the varsity and junior levels in 1977.  He led the Oshawa Legionaries to back to back championships in 1979 and 1980.  Mike Keenan moved on to coaching the Rochester Americans to the AHL championship in 1983.  The following year, Keenan got his first high profile coaching job, coaching the Philadelphia Flyers in 1984.  He was with the Flyers for 4 years before becoming head coach of the Chicago Blackhawks in 1988 and head coach of the New York Rangers in 1993.  In 1994, he led the Rangers to their first Stanley Cup Championship since 1940.  Mike Keenan also was coach and/or GM for the St. Louis Blues, Vancouver Canucks, Boston Bruins and the Florida Panthers.  In 2007 Keenan became senior advisor to the Swedish Ice Hockey Association.  This position was short lived as he returned to the NHL to coach the Calgary Flames.  Keenan recorded his 600th win as a coach with the Flames.  Keenan left the NHL to join the KHL in 2013.   Own a piece of hockey history with a Mike Keenan New York Rangers Autographed Stanley Cup 8x10 Photo!

Mike Richter was drafted by the Rangers in 1985.  He represented the United States in the World Junior Championships and then played for the University of Wisconsin-Madison from 1985-1987 and the Rangers drafted him that year as well.  Richter represented the United States in the World Junior Champion in 1986 as well as the World Champions and the 1988 Calgary Olympics before making his NHL debut with the Rangers in 1989 playoffs. Vanbiesbrouk was selected by the Florida Panthers which is why Richter had his first campaign as the team’s number one goalie.  He posted a career best with 42 wins and a 2.57 goals-against-average.  The Rangers also won the President Trophy for the second time in a row and Richter was named MVP of the NHL All Star Game. Learn More about Pat LaFontaine: Pat LaFontaine is an NHL Hall of Famer that spent his entire career playing for New York state based teams:  the New York Islanders, Buffalo Sabres and the New York Rangers.  Pat LaFontaine was selected 3rd overall by the New York Islanders in the 1983 NHL Entry Draft.  After representing Team USA in the 1984 Olympic Winter Games, LaFontaine made it back to the NHL in time to join the Islanders in the Stanley Cup Finals.  The 1987-1988 season was the first of six 40 plus point seasons for Lafontaine.  In the 1987 Stanley Cup division finals, LaFontaine scored the game winning goal in the 4th period of overtime against the Washington Capitals in game seven that was dubbed the “Easter Epic”.  LaFontaine was traded to the Buffalo Sabres in October 1991 and during his second season with the Sabres, set a team record with 148 points.  The potential hockey superstar suffered several career setbacks including concussions, a broken jaw and an injured knee.  He was awarded the Bill Masterson Trophy at the end of the 1995 season for his determination and perseverance.  He was traded to the New York Rangers but a series of concussions only saw Pat Lafontaine appear in 62 games.  He retired at the end of the season with 468 goals and 1013 points.  The Sabres retired his number 16 in 2006 and LaFontaine was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2003. Learn More about Pavel Bure: Pavel Bure is an NHL Hall of Famer that spent 12 seasons playing right wing for the Vancouver Canucks, Florida Panthers and the New York Rangers.  Known for his outstanding speed he was nicknamed “The Russian Rocket.”  He made his NHL debut in 1991 and won the Calder Memorial Trophy for rookie of the year, finishing the season with 34 goals and 60 points in 65 games.  His rookie year was followed by two consecutive 60 point seasons. Pavel Bure was traded to the Florida in 1999 and in his first two full seasons with the franchise, Bure led the league in scoring, capturing two back to back Rocket Richard Trophies. Bure was traded to the New York Rangers on March 18, 2002.  Unfortunately, a series of knee injuries left him unable to play and he announced his retirement in 2005. Bure was voted in on June 27, 2012, alongside Joe Sakic, Adam Oates and Mats Sundin.  The Canucks retired Bure's #10 jersey on November 2, 2013.
