GlenN Hall Signed Puck Detroit Red Wings This hand-signed Detroit Red Wings hockey puck has been personally autographed by Glenn Hall. To protect your investment, a Certificate Of Authenticity and a tamper evident holofoil from Slap Shot Signatures is included. Learn More about Glen Hall: Glenn Hall is also renowned as the grandfather of the butterfly goalie. He was the first goalie to practice and perfect the now common butterfly stance, as he'd fall on knees, spread his legs to take away the bottom corners and five-hole and let his rapier-like arm reflexes take care of the top corners. Almost every goalie in hockey today relies on the strategies he perfected. During his 18-year NHL career, which began in 1952 and ended in 1971, Glenn posted a 407-327-163 record, 2.51 goals-against-average and recorded 84 shutouts. He was a First Team All-Star seven times, won three Vezina Trophies, was voted the league's top rookie in 1955-56 and was awarded the Conn Smythe trophy in a losing cause in 1968. Despite his lengthy career, Glenn won his only Stanley Cup with the Blackhawks in 1961. Hall played his rookie season and more with Detroit Red Wings, before a trade involving a Red Wings goalie. Glen Hall was packaged up in the infamous Ted Lindsay trade to the Chicago Blackhawks. At the age of 36, he was left unprotected in the 1967 Expansion Draft and was chosen by the St. Louis Blues. Due in large part to Hall's heroics, St. Louis went all the way to the Stanley Cup final in their first year in the NHL. Though they would eventually lose to the Montreal Canadiens in four games, Hall was awarded the Conn Smythe Trophy as the league's top playoff performer. In 1968-69, Jacques Plante joined the team and the two veterans shared the goaltending duties, and split the Vezina Trophy. Glen Hall Retied in 1971 and worked with St Louis and later the Calgary Flames as a goaltending coach and consultant. Hall was inducted in the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1975. Learn More About Ted Lindsay: Ted Lindsay was a professional ice hockey player who played forward for the Detroit Red Wings and Chicago Blackhawks. He was a fierce competitor that earned the nickname “Terrible Ted” because of his rough and tough style of play, causing the NHL to create new penalties such as elbowing. Despite his time spent in the penalty box, Ted Lindsay was a great player who scored over 800 points during his Hall of Fame career. Lindsay also won four Stanley cups with the Detroit Red Wings and was named in the first group of NHL's 100 greatest Players in 2017. Ted Lindsay’s first season was in 1944 when he was 19. He first played for Detroit and was part of the high scoring “Production Line” with Sid Abel and superstar Gordie Howe. In the late 1950s Lindsay also helped organize the National Hockey League Players Association (NHLPA). This was a huge factor to Ted Lindsay being traded to the Blackhawks. Lindsay played three seasons with the Blackhawks but wanted to retire a Red Wing so his last season in 1964-65 he played for Detroit.
