Brendan Shanahan was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame on November 8th in 2013. Learn More About Ted Lindsay: Ted Lindsay was a professional ice hockey player who played forward for the Detroit Red Wings and Chicago Blackhawks.  He was a fierce competitor that earned the nickname “Terrible Ted” because of his rough and tough style of play, causing the NHL to create new penalties such as elbowing.  Despite his time spent in the penalty box, Ted Lindsay was a great player who scored over 800 points during his Hall of Fame career.  Lindsay also won four Stanley cups with the Detroit Red Wings and was named in the first group of NHL's 100 greatest Players in 2017. Ted Lindsay’s first season was in 1944 when he was 19.  He first played for Detroit and was part of the high scoring “Production Line” with Sid Abel and superstar Gordie Howe.  In the 1949-1950 season, Lindsay won the Art Ross Trophy for leading the league in points during the regular and played a large role in his team winning the Stanley Cup.  In the late 1950s Lindsay also helped organize the National Hockey League Players Association (NHLPA).  This was a huge factor to Ted Lindsay being traded to the Blackhawks.  Lindsay played three seasons with the Blackhawks but wanted to retire a Red Wing so his last season in 1964-65 he played for Detroit. Mio first put himself on the map for professional hockey when he decided to join the Colorado College from 1972-1976.  During that time Mio became a standout as he won first and second all-star awards.  He also made the NCAA west first all-American team two years in a row.  In 1974, Mio was officially drafted by the Blackhawks and the Blazers of the WHA but he played with neither and spent most of his time playing with smaller teams until he went to the Indianapolis Racers. Learn More About Norm Ullman: Norm Ullman is a retired center who played in the NHL for the Edmonton Oilers, Toronto Maple Leafs and the Detroit Red Wings.  Ullman started his professional career in 1956 with the Detroit Red Wings.  Ullman was known for his stick-handling, his stamina and consistency.  He was centering the line with Gordie Howe and Ted Lindsay.  Ullman's career statistics place him as one of the greatest centers in NHL history.  He had 490 regular season goals, 739 assists and 1229 points. Ullman led the Red Wings in goals in 1961, 1965 and 1966 and led the league in 1964-65.  That season Ullman missed the overall scoring by four points.  He was second to Stan Mikita.  That same season Ullman was voted a first team All-Star. Ullman appeared in 11 All-Star games in his twenty-year career.  In 1968, in the middle of his thirteenth year with Detroit, Ullman was traded to the Leafs.  He finished his career with Toronto then played two last seasons with the WHA Edmonton Oilers. Learn More About Brendan Shanahan:  Brendan Shanahan is a retired left winger who was drafted by the New Jersey Devils in 1987.  He played for the New Jersey Devils, St. Louis Blues, Detroit Red Wings and the New York Rangers.  Shanahan won the Stanley Cup three times with the Detroit Red Wings in 1997, 1998 and 2002.  In 2017 Shanahan was part of the second group to be named the 100 greatest NHL Players in History.  Shanahan is a great player and at the end of his playing career he had scored 656 goals.  Shanahan was one of the only players in NHL history with over 600 goals and 2000 minutes of penalty time. Brendan Shanahan also played for Team Canada internationally.  He won a gold medal at the 1994 World Championship and an Olympic gold medal in 2002.  He also won the 1991 Canada Cup.  Having won three of the most prominent titles in hockey Shanahan was made a member of the Triple Gold Club.
